Complete Digital Safety Suite

ShepHertz Technologies Private Limited

Last Updated: May 13, 2026

This policy should be read together with our Terms of Service at safeanywhere.ai/terms

1. Who We Are

SafeAnywhere is a family digital-safety product offered by ShepHertz Technologies Private Limited and affiliated entities (“ShepHertz”). We operate the website safeanywhere.ai, the SafeAnywhere Parent App, the SafeAnywhere Guard (managed device) App, APIs, and support channels described on our site.

2. Information We Collect

We collect different information depending on whether you are using the Parent App or the SafeAnywhere Guard App on a managed device.

2.1 Information Collected via the Parent App

  • Account and contact data — name, email address, phone number, country, and billing details when you register or subscribe.
  • Family profile data — names and profile details of managed accounts you create within the app.
  • Device and app context — device type, operating system version, app version, and push notification tokens needed to deliver alerts and reports.
  • Support and communication data — information you provide when contacting us via email, chat, or support forms.

2.2 Information Collected via the SafeAnywhere Guard App

  • Device location (precise GPS) — We collect the real-time geographic location of the managed device. This data is collected continuously while the app is in use and, depending on device settings, may be collected while the app is running in the background. Purpose: Location data is used solely to allow parents and guardians to view the managed device’s real-time location for safety purposes within the Parent App. Location is never shared with third parties for advertising or any unrelated purpose.
  • App usage data — which applications are installed and used on the device, and how long each app is used per session. Purpose: To enforce screen time rules and generate usage summaries for parents.
  • Web browsing categories — the general category of websites visited (e.g., social media, gaming). We do not collect specific URLs, page content, search terms, or personal browsing history. Purpose: To enforce age-appropriate content filtering configured by the parent.
  • Screen time and schedule data — active screen time sessions, time limit thresholds, and schedule rules applied to the device. Purpose: To enforce the family’s digital-wellbeing settings.
  • Time extension requests — when and how often a user on the managed device requests additional screen time. Purpose: To notify the parent and allow them to approve or deny requests.
  • Device and app context — device identifier, operating system version, and app version. Purpose: To maintain connectivity between SafeAnywhere Guard and the Parent App and deliver accurate policy enforcement.
  • Diagnostic logs (optional) — crash reports and error logs if you opt in. Purpose: To fix bugs and improve app stability.

2.3 What We Do NOT Collect (SafeAnywhere Guard App)

We do not collect or access:

  • Private messages, chats, emails, or calls
  • Keyboard input, passwords, or search queries
  • Photos, videos, or files stored on the device
  • Social media content or account credentials
  • Any biometric data

4. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Operate and deliver the SafeAnywhere service, including real-time location sharing, screen time enforcement, and content filtering via SafeAnywhere Guard.
  • Display location history and usage reports to the authorised parent or guardian.
  • Send push notifications and alerts to parents (e.g., location updates, time extension requests).
  • Authenticate users and protect accounts from unauthorised access.
  • Process subscription payments.
  • Respond to support requests.
  • Comply with applicable law and legal obligations.
  • Improve, debug, and develop our products (using aggregated or anonymised data where possible).

We do not sell personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. Sharing and Disclosure

We may share data with:

  • Subprocessors and service providers — cloud hosting providers, email delivery services, payment processors, crash-reporting tools, and customer-support platforms, under contracts that require them to protect data and use it only for the services they provide to us.
  • Law enforcement or regulators — where required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of users and our services.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with appropriate confidentiality obligations.

We do not share precise location or usage data from managed devices with any third party except as described above.

6. Location Data — Additional Disclosures

Because SafeAnywhere Guard accesses precise device location, we provide the following additional disclosures in compliance with applicable app store and data-protection requirements:

DetailInformation
Data typePrecise GPS location (latitude, longitude, accuracy)
Collection frequencyPeriodic updates while the app is active; configurable background updates
Who can access itOnly the parent or guardian who created and manages the device’s profile
Third-party accessNone — location data is not shared with advertisers or unrelated third parties
User controlParents can disable location tracking at any time within the Parent App settings. Location permissions can also be revoked at the device level in the managed device’s OS settings.

7. Security and Retention

We implement technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest.
  • Access controls limiting who can view personal data within our organisation.
  • Regular security reviews and vulnerability assessments.

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the service, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, or as described in Section 6 for location data. When data is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymised.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you or your family members.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Delete your account and associated data.
  • Export your data in a portable format.
  • Object to or restrict certain types of processing.
  • Withdraw consent for optional features (e.g., location tracking, diagnostic logs) at any time.

Parents can exercise most of these rights directly within the Parent App or by contacting us at the addresses in Section 12. We will respond in line with applicable law.

9. Minors’ Privacy

SafeAnywhere Guard is a parental-control app operated by and for parents and guardians. Managed accounts for minors are created and configured exclusively by the parent. We:

  • Collect only the minimum data necessary to deliver the safety features the parent enables.
  • Do not serve advertisements to minors.
  • Do not allow minors to make in-app purchases.
  • Do not share minors’ personal data with third parties for marketing or analytics unrelated to the service.
  • Treat data associated with minor accounts with heightened care and strict access controls.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor without proper parental consent, please contact us immediately at the addresses in Section 12 and we will promptly delete it.

10. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in India and other countries where we or our service providers operate. Where cross-border transfers are required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms) in compliance with applicable data-protection law.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date at the top. For material changes, we may notify you through the product or by email where appropriate. Your continued use of SafeAnywhere after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
